Dr.Sudduth knew early in his life that he wanted to pursue a career in Veterinary Medicine. At age 7 he was accumulating old college texts and his first patient was his beloved family pet, Skippy, a beagle, who in spite of his inquisitive exams survived to a ripe old age. Growing up in Greeley, Colorado he attended College High School, where he was active in 3 sports and student government. Dr Sudduth is an Eagle Scout. Having received several sports scholarship offers, he decided to forgo them and concentrate on his studies at The University of Northern Colorado. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from this institution in 1973. Continuing to pursue Veterinary Medicine, he was accepted at Colorado State University and graduated in 1977. While atttending CSU he was awarded a full ride health professions scholarship through the military forces. Upon graduating Dr Sudduth spent 6 years at Letterman Hospital in San Francisco and SHAPE in Mons Belgium. Returning to Colorado, he began practice on Garden of the Gods Rd and later built the Northwest Plaza, where Northwest Animal Hospital is located. He continued his military career as an IMA, traveling to Walter Reed in Washington D.C. each year. Dr Sudduth is a retired LTC in the Army reserve. He has been happily married to his wife Lori for 29 years. They have a son, Aaron who is presently in the Air Force and Michelle who is pursuing a music career, after graduating from Belmont University in Nashville. The family has had several pets over the years and currently share there home with the Disney dogs, Gaston, a 13 year old toy poodle, Symba, a 3 year old yorkie and Quincy, a 3 year old Sheltie.
